Coming from a family of union laborers and social workers, Ian learned at a young age that service was important. He took that mindset to the United States Air Force upon graduation from high school where he got to fulfill a lifelong dream of seeing the world. As an enlisted aircrew member, Ian accumulated 2000 flight hours accomplishing multiple missions around the globe crewing the C-130J Super Hercules.
After retiring from the USAF in 2014, Ian attained another goal by finishing his elementary education degree through Indiana University. It was during this time he met his now wife, Lynda, who is an established small business owner and award winning photographer in Gibson County. Upon graduation from IU, Ian began his education career as a 5th grade teacher in a local school system. Ian continues to live in Princeton with his family and likes to spend his off time working towards his private pilot license, gardening, and cooking.
